Presentation Reflections

The Rear Gaurd: This poem was written by Siegfried Sassoon and what this poem was basically about the Battle of Aris that was takeing place in the time fram during World War 1. He wrote with a lot of anger and this was motsly due to the fact that he was injuried in the war. In this spesific peice Siegfried uses a lot of alliteration. Men With Masks: A good quote to start off this peice was "It is sweet and right to die for your country" This basically describes this whole peice because it takes about how awful war truly is and how gory it can be. Aliteration is used in this peice to really get the reader to see truly how bad he is portraying war to be. Glory of Women: This poem was written by Siegfried Sassoon and was all about how women affected the war. He talked about how the imgae of war was trying to get overthrown by the imgage of women helping in war. He uses Alitteration also in this peice to interprut how bad war really is and what it would be like if women entered war. He also describes what war is like and how bad it can be, and that women were now getting involed in all of this violence. From Nothing to Something: This poem is about a factory worker and how she works her way up from being poor to having lots of money and becoming rich. She was working all during the war even though threre were job shortages, she was sill working and earning money. Although she is making a lot of money now she still doesnt forget where she came from and her upbringing and hse relizes life has become jolly and worth while now. The Winds on the Down: This poem was about a widow of someone who is in war. This is a very sad poem because ut expresses how badly the women loves her husband who is at war and that when he is killed she wont accept that fact. it has alot of vivid imgary to show how bad things really are and shows all of the emotion invilved with this couple. It also takes about Appostraphy and Elegy which are both in the poem. Break of day in the Trenches: This poem is all about the brutal time that is spent in the trenches with the soliders. It talks about what they go threw and how hard it really is while down there. Along with that is talks about all of the hard times on the battlefield for some people. There is a lot of symbolism and imagry to express what the tenches are really like. They make you feel as if you were there and you can relate to what the soliders are going through. The tone that its presented is also makes it that much more dramtic and makes the reader think even deeper about the war.

I chose my background because I thought it was cool and I also enjoy the snow and winter time. I think by someone choosing pictures or like pictures and certain colors you can tell a lot about there personality and what that person might be like. Usually if a person likes light and colorful colors then it shows that they are a happy cheerful kind of person. Color can describe the tone of your blog just from someone looking at the color as soon as they look at it. Its important for the color to represent you so people have somewhat of an idea of what they need to do. when creating your blog you need to choose what type you want and the font and how you want everything on your blog to be set up.

Establishing Mood and Tone with Typography is very important. you cahnge change the mood and tone with typography becasue the way that things are written and the font is can make a person feel a certain way about the peice. Maybe if the picture in the background is dark and scary but youre font is the regular kind it wont add the same intensity and really make the reader think about what the peice is truly about, but if you did then the reader will be capitvated by the writting.

Establishing Mood and Tone with Color is very important.This is a way for people to get what you are saying in your blog and they can really hear what you are saying. If you have a color that might change the mood of what you are saying or if you you have a color that establishes a certain mood then people might take what youre saying and take it in a different way. the color makes what the reader sees and gives them a first prospective of what you might be writting about on your blog. They can they maybe get attached to what you hace to say and think that somw of the things tha t you are saying areintesting and want to continue reading more. The color in the blog is very important and should be done accuratly.

Adjusting the layout of your blog is also another important thing to think about when creating your blog. You want people to be able to find things and where things are at, and loctaed on your blog. People wont want to read your blog if it is messy and unorganized. They dont want to go to read something of your blogand not know where it is or have everything be messy. You should also choose something that you like and like the way it looks for your blog.
